We (hopefully) all brush our teeth twice a day, we might even floss and use mouthwash.  We put all of these products in our mouths – that’s their purpose.  However, many have “Do not swallow” written across the back.  Concerning, right?

Floss:

What to avoid:

• Perfluoroctanoic acid (or PFOA) has a link to thyroid disease.
• Nylon is a petroleum product that takes FOREVER to decay, so it has a large environmental concern.
• Perfluorinated Polymers (or PFC) are commonly found in the coating of dental floss.  There is a link between this toxin and hormone irregularity, ADHD, poor immune and reproduction systems, thyroid issues, and fetal development concerns.  This toxin is also a carcinogen (cancer causing).
